Our Students Learn To Play - Here are just a few of the results they have achieved.. 

Our Adult Students - are working on Jazz improvisation, getting back to playing classical pieces they used to play before they had kids or writing a requiem.

Our Teen Students - are learning to accompany themselves while singing, learning to write their own songs on piano and starting to read music.

Our Young Students -  are having fun with new song assignments, workbook activities and are learning to play with both hands, and to read music!

Vaughan Music Studios is an instruction and recording studio for all ages, levels and styles of music.  We have been offering instruction, artist development and audio engineering to the Columbus, Ohio community since 2007. Music lessons are offered in voice, piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, clarinet, flute, brass, orchestral strings, ukulele, songwriting, and acting for singers as well. VMS offers college and career consultations for those looking for guidance in their music career.

Our motto is “From lessons to launch and everything in between.” Artist Development is the “Everything in between!” We don’t just teach: We give you the opportunity to explore.

1.  My child seems to be very musical. What instrument should be learned first? PIANO! Piano offers the best overall understanding of music. By starting with piano, students are more equipped to transition and succeed in any other instrument including voice. Piano provides the foundation for understanding music notation, rhythm, pitch and all other aspects of musicality that are essential for any musical instrument or direction your child may want to pursue.

2.   What age can my child start? As soon as they can focus for 20+min and move fingers independently.

3.   Do I have to have special talents? Anyone can learn to play, the only requirement is interest.

4.   How much time will it take? With our student-centered approach, you will notice improvement within the first week if you practice. The more time you put in, the more you will accomplish.

5.   Do I need an instrument? You can start without an instrument and let our teachers guide you.
