They seem to repeat all the things I know I should have done better last year and resolve once again to try. But new year resolutions should be about expansion and excitement.  I'm done with the 'shoulds' and I'm moving on to 'wants.'  I want to learn. I want to play. I want to have fun in the place that we created.

Talented VMS Students Madi & Ana Heichel have just released a new video!  Watch the sisters perform Sara Bareilles' song "Brave" around the studio, with a little help from Alessandra Gesiotto (Miss Ohio High School 2015) Amanda Giroux (Miss Ohio Collegiate 2015), and Madison Gesiotto (Miss Ohio 2014). Columbus-based duo Bright Night Alaska have done it again! Multi-instrumentalists Justin Ranly and Matt Lefeld have been hard at work at VMS and have prolifically recorded with studio manager Mark Abrams over the past year.  On April 14th, 2015 they released their latest EP 'The Spring' - the latest in their series of seasonal releases, following September 2014's 'The Fall' and January 2015's 'The Winter'. Columbus band Two Cow Garage recently released a new single "Let The Boys Be Girls", which was recorded and mixed here at Vaughan Music Studios. They’re currently touring the US, and will release more tunes soon! Click through to listen to their new track.

The Sake Hut Basement Jam is a Columbus-based band made up of Ohio State students. They recently created some of their debut recordings here at VMS: three awesome Japanese pop/rock covers, which you can listen to below.

The winter season can be hard on everyone, but it's especially harsh on your guitar. At best, winter weather has the potential to affect the tone and playability of your guitar. At worst, it can do serious damage to your guitar that will likely require an expensive repair. VMS guitar instructor Brian Cerney shares some tips to keep your guitar in top form during the winter months.
