Voice student Mike Robinson just released his first EP called Invisible Girl. It features all original songs that were recorded right here at VMS.
“I had a great time recording this EP. I loved working with [VMS engineers] Matt and Mark, they both are super nice guys and are easy to work and get along with.” said Robinson.
Mike wrote and arranged almost every part of the EP. “My writing process from tune to tune is always a little different.” The first single “Leave” that he released from the EP features a string quartet made up of Mike’s friends from school. “I had never written for a quartet before, so I enjoyed exploring a new area of music.”
Robinson is a senior in high school, and has committed to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. He told us he is also planning on performing these songs live with friends that played on the record. “I am also in the process of setting up some gigs for the summer with my buddies Matt Peery, J.T. Mansoor, and Jackson Neesley
